Everyone Avoided This Dog EXCEPT The Mailman. When You See Them Interact, Your Heart Will Melt

(True Activist) A postal worker in New Zealand was caught on camera taking a break from his rounds to pay a visit to an affectionate pup, and it’s absolutely adorable.

Mailmen and dogs are stereotyped to be a disastrous pair, but a canine and a postal worker in New Zealand are the best of friends. The friendship blossomed when the postal worker began giving special attention to a German Shepherd on his route. Like many misunderstood breeds, the pup is often avoided by people simply out of fear. “He always gets overlooked as a dangerous or unapproachable dog,” says his owner, Michael Collins.

Luckily, the mailman isn’t afraid and often goes out of his way – even if he doesn’t have mail to deliver in the area – just to spend some time giving him affection. As you can view in the video below, the canine is incredibly appreciative of the extra attention.

Collins secretly recorded the footage of the two interacting when he noticed the pair’s friendship. As you can view for yourself, it’s pretty darn adorable.

The dog’s human wrote on Facebook:

“Just want to share something cool! Everyday whether or not we have mail this mail man always stops to see my dog who is only 9 months old. He always gets over looked as a dangerous or unapproachable dog, Maybe cause he’s big i am not sure. He doesn’t bark at them or growl ( Maybe the odd couple times he barks at people but which dog doesn’t ) But this guy here always makes an effort to get off his bike to give him a hug and a pat! I’m not sure who to tag on Facebook for him to see this! But thanks man keep up the good job and you’ve definitely got a friend waiting for ya!!”
